Tomorrow is Independence Day and I thought I might share a few of my feelings about Americas Birthday. I am very grateful for the blessing of freedom and the opportunity that the Lord has given me to live in this Country. Almost everday I tell my children how blessed we are to live in the Country. I tell them how blessed we are to have a nice home, hot water, power, clean water, the freedom of worship, the freedom of knowledge, the freedom of choice and countless other freedoms that we enjoy.
Today in church Sister Barber gave a lesson on adversity. She mentioned the adversity of the founding Fathers of our great Nation and then she mentioned the adversity of the Founding Fathers families. I never thought of the sacrifice that their families made nor have I ever heard. From what she said it sounded like they had to hide their families from mobs very similar to the Mormon Pioneers. I am curious to learn more about the Founders and their families.
