LOVE

In the past year I have been blessed to have two very special conversations with Trevor.  I told Eric about them the other night and he suggested that I write them down.

The first conversation I had with Trevor I believe it was around September of 2012.
Durring sacrament meeting sweet Trevor whispers to me, "I love you as much as Jesus loves".  What a sweetheart he sure knows how to melt his mothers heart.  I very gently looked at my sweet boy and said something like that is a lot of love and then continued ever so gently that because of Jesus love for us he created the stars, space, earth and EVERYTHING.  Then my sweet little Trevor lovingly looked into my eyes with tears in his and said in a hush whisper,
"That is a lot of love".
In that very moment 5 year old  Trevor had some kind of inspiration beyond his years come into his mind and he fully understood the depth of our Saviors love.  And in that same moment I was blessed to feel the love that Jesus has for my sweet little boy.


The second conversation I had was last week.

Trevor came to me and asked me who was my favorite?  I looked at him and half joking replied Daddy.  Then Trevor pushed a little harder to find out which of my children I favor.  I looked at him and lovingly told him that I love each of them the same.  Trevor was confused how I could love all of them the same.  So I took the conversation a step further and with more seriousness I explained to Trevor I loved different things about each child but I do not love one child more than another child.  He still questioned?  I then asked him who he loved more Mommy or Daddy?  (As quick as I asked this loaded question I got concerned if any of you know Trevor he is a Mommas boy.)  He gently looked at me after thinking for a brief moment and said," I love you the same.
I then asked which of his siblings he loved the most?  And again after a quick in depth thought with full understanding of love he looked at me and he said, " I love them ALL the same."  and with amazement and knowledge in his voice he said, "love multiplies."

The meaning of the name Trevor is WISE.

Sunday SURPRISE

Yesterday after surviving church with the children we arrived home to find Eric home. (Yes, I did say surviving church me plus 5 kids alone is survival.  Luckily they are very good.) Now lets just say in almost 10 years of Eric's employment he has NEVER left work in the middle of a SUNDAY afternoon so my thoughts were.....HE IS FIRED!!!  NO he must be very sick....YES that is it he is sick.
I quickly escape the car and dash into the house expecting to find a very ill Eric instead I find a spotless living room that took my breath a way and Eric at the kitchen sink washing up the lunch dishes left behind on our mad dash to church.  Eric's casual reply is,"the store was slow so I came home". 
 What a special treat.  
We quickly decided that we did not want to waste this treat of extra time so we quickly fed the family some left overs and headed out to the local mountains to see some views and look for a future camping spot.

They squilled at the large spiders and other creepy crawlers

and they do NOT like walking through tall grass

Camping this summer should be a real TREAT
but I am excited to give it a try.

Sadly we found several camping spots that we know we do not want but never did find that special spot.
Oh well I guess now we will just have to spend some more time looking!!!!
