Seattle Vacation

Do you ever wished that you would have taken more photos?  I am wishing that I would have remembered to get the camera out a LOT more than I did.  So here are the few photos that I took on our Seattle Vacation.

Back in August

We took a very long route to get to Seattle.  Eric had been planning a backpacking trip in the Sawtooths of Idaho with his family and he was very excited to go, this would be his Mom's first backpacking trip.
I was in my last trimester of pregnancy and had just been released from bedrest so I too was very excited to get out of town and see family.  I had lots of reconnecting that I wanted to do.  Because of bedrest I missed out on family reunions (one of which I had planned) and my Uncle Blair's funeral.
We loaded up our family early in the morning and headed for Idaho,  we were getting pretty hungry so we pulled in to McDonald's in Helena before we even had our order Kaylinn and Trevor got sick in our car.  We cleaned up the mess and were hopeful that they were just car sick.  I am not so sure about car sick poor Trevor he had about 8 episodes between Helena and Pocatello.  We met up with Eric's family in Idaho Falls and they headed off to Stanly and we headed into Pocatello to clean up children and car.
Eric and I both had a wonderful time with our Families.
Late Sunday afternoon I met up with Eric and we started our very long journey to Seattle.

We stopped at McNary Dam on the Columbia rive.

The day after Seattle Childrens Hospital we had lunch at the Spagetti Factory with Eric's Uncle Glen.

After lunch we did some sightseeing around the Pier.  We would have liked to have done more but we had a very ill Kaylinn.

We discovered this HUGE farriswheel so we took a ride.

We had 2 umbrella strollers one for Trevor and one for Devin.  Trevor was not able to walk.
But since Kaylinn was so sick Eric tied Devin on his back and pushed Trevor in the stroller.

We decide to just drive around and we discovered this wonderful park.
I would like to go back and spend a full day hiking the trails at the park.
The children had fun playing on the toys.

After sight seeing we decided that it was time to head for home.  Kaylinn seemed to be ready for travel so we started our journey home.  On the way home our vacation went down hill real fast.  We stopped at a rest area and Devin started getting sick by this time I did have supplies, but still no fun when a baby is barfing in the car.  Kaylinn got sick a few more times too.  We were en-route to Eric's brother Glen's house when the kids started dropping like flies.  Eric just wanted to get to Glen's and clean everyone up and rest everyone too and then be off the next morning.  Well that night at Glen's house Eric and Catherine decided to join in on the barfing so we ended up crashing at Glen's an extra day.   Thank you Glen and Sarah for letting my sick family rest at your home.  I am so glad that we did not contaminate your family.  I am also very happy to report I never got it!!
I hope to never take a vacation like this one again but I am so happy that we were able to see family and get Trevor diagnosed.  Trevor is doing so much better now.
